Asowosi (Haiti), also known as cerasee throughout parts of the English-speaking Caribbean or pawoka in Martinique, is especially recognizable for its intensely bitter taste. This climbing plant has a long history of traditional use in Haiti and other parts of the Caribbean, particularly in bitter herbal preparations associated with digestion and blood sugar.

How to Use
Add 1–2 tablespoons to 500 mL of water. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let simmer for 10–15 minutes. Strain before serving.
